I attended a session about Professional Development for teachers in Technology at the Acton Public Schools. The Director and her team launched the “iTip” initiative which help teachers assess their skills and interests and develop individual action plans for improving their skills and knowledge.

First teachers took the LoTi Digital-Age Survey at lotilounge.com ($250/year subscription). At the conclusion of the survey, participants receive individual results and recommendations based on their grade level and subject area including an individual LoTi Digital-Age Professional Development Profile. See http://loticonnection.com. They then created workshops and offerings based on the results, and designed a schedule that includes PD days and before and after school sessions.
